Scent leaf (Ocimum gratissimum) is a common leaf in west Africa. Known as Efinrin in Yoruba, Daidoya in Hausa and Nchuanwu in Igbo. It is a leaf well known for its versatility in the world of culinary and herbal medicine. For culinary benefits: 1. It can be added to vegetables, soups and stews to elevate flavors. 2. It can be sprinkled to garnish meals like rice, porridge etc.
